Wendy & Chris | Edinburgh Elopement Photography

Eloping in Scotland can mean different things to different people. While most people think of eloping in the Scottish Highlands or other wild areas of Scotland, old iconic cities like Edinburgh are also a popular destination for elopements and great for photography, too!

Wendy & Chris secretly eloped in Edinburgh all the way from Australia at the end of their trip around Europe. As an Edinburgh elopement photographer, I was so honoured to be chosen to capture their young, wild, deep love. Their day included getting ready together in a gorgeous apartment in Stockbridge (owned by Wendy’s Scottish aunt & uncle), followed by an intimate ceremony at the City Chambers, after which we ran around the magical cobbled streets of Edinburgh, stopping to read love letters that Chris wrote for Wendy, eventually finishing up with some drinks in the cosy Bow Bar where the couple caught up with some friends who wanted to join in the celebration. Eloping means that your day can include your favourite activities and be as relaxed, slow-paced and magical as you want it to be!
