Scotland Adventure Sessions

 Couples photoshoot in Scotland

Are you traveling to Scotland for the first time and want some special photographs to remember your trip by? Perhaps you plan to get engaged while in Scotland, are celebrating an anniversary, or maybe you just want a photoshoot to remember the incredible time you and your love are going to have experiencing the breathtaking Scottish landscapes. My Scotland adventure sessions are focused on capturing unforgettable memories you can take home with you and decorate your walls with - a little piece of Scotland to keep and to cherish for years to come.

What will we do during the photoshoot?

While my photography style is largely candid and unposed, I will still occasionally give you some gentle direction, especially if you feel stuck on what to do. This type of direction is very movement and action based - more like directing scenes in a movie than posing. That’s why the best thing for you to do is to keep on moving - whether that’s big movements like walking, running, chasing each other or picking each other up and spinning round; or small ones - gently stroking your partner’s back as you embrace, lying on the grass holding hands and playing with your fingertips, burying hands in each other’s hair as you kiss. Movement is key to creating authentic storytelling images so I encourage you to always keep on moving!

How to prepare for your session

Step 1. Pick a location

There are so many incredible places to have your photoshoot in Scotland - from Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye and everywhere in between. If you have a particular type of landscape or background in mind but are not sure where to find it, I will happily recommend you some breathtaking options!

Step 2. Plan your outfits

Check out my Scotland outfit guide for some tips to help you prepare. The most essential thing for an adventure session with me is a pair of comfortable shoes because it’s guaranteed there will be some walking (and often running) involved and sore feet are a bad friend to achieving beautiful photos!

Step 3. Be prepared for any weather conditions.

Try to embrace the less ideal weather conditions and have fun regardless. Some of my best photos were taken through rain, high winds and stormy weather because, quite honestly, it just suits Scotland! So embrace the rain, the wind and just have fun through it as if you are in a romantic movie where the two main characters are much too in love to notice anything that’s happening around them. Trust me, it works every time!

If there’s any chance of rain in the forecast, I always recommend bringing something to keep you warm in between the locations - a rainproof jacket, a hat, a pair of gloves. If we are shooting in the Highlands and you are driving, it is a great idea to have a dry change of clothes in the car so you can change straight after the photoshoot.

Scotland couples photoshoot packages

I like to be transparent with my pricing so the pricing for most locations in Scotland is included in my pricing brochure which you can read here. There are no additional charges and my travel to each location is already included in the price. If you have a different location in mind, please reach out for a bespoke quote - I love exploring new places!

All packages include a minimum of 50-70 edited digital images (70+ for Highland locations, 50+ for Edinburgh). You will also have the option to purchase prints, albums and other products with your gorgeous photos directly from your gallery.
