Rebecca & Sean - Isle of Skye Elopement Photography

The Isle of Skye is one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland and you can never go wrong choosing it for your engagement, elopement or an adventure session. The breathtaking combination of the sea & the mountains makes it my favourite location to photograph as a Scotland elopement photographer. When Rebecca got in touch with me to say that she and her fiancé Sean were hoping to have a pre-wedding session in Isle of Skye wearing wedding clothes (traditional in many countries including their native Singapore) I jumped at the chance to work with this incredible couple.

We decided to start the session around an hour and a half before sunset. As a Scotland elopement photographer, I often advise my couples to plan the session either around sunset or sunrise time because if the sun is out that is when the light is the softest and most flattering. While there was no sun out that day in the end, the gloomy Scottish skies and some wind added drama that works so well with outlandish Skye landscapes. We finished the session in Fairy Glen after the sun has set, during the so-called blue hour, using these vintage style lanterns which are perfect for a fairytale vibe!

Are you dreaming of having some stunning cinematic photos of you and your love in the outlandish landscapes of Isle of Skye? Get in touch and let’s plan your epic adventure!
