Nupur & James - Edinburgh Couples Photography

The city of Edinburgh - with its ancient architecture, winding cobbled streets and ever-shifting light - is truly a photographer’s dream. I met up with Nupur & James in the early hours of the morning to capture their engagement photos before the Old Town of Edinburgh filled up with crowds of people - both locals rushing to work and visitors exploring the beautiful capital of Scotland. Getting up early for your session in Edinburgh is always so worth it because you can enjoy all the gorgeous touristy spots with hardly a person in sight. Not having many people around is also great help if you’re camera shy! (Which most of us are to some degree.)

We wandered around the sleepy city chatting away and stopping around the couple’s favourite spots in this city they now call home. We started the session at the enchanting St Gile’s Cathedral, then proceeded to wander around the magical Victoria Street (which is rumoured to have heavily inspired Diagonal Alley in the Harry Potter books) and is a street on two levels, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lower level that boasts many colourful buildings and boutique shops. Here are some of my favourite images from Nupur & James’ engagement session.

If you’re thinking of booking your own couples session in Scotland, I would love to work with you and help you choose the perfect locations and outfits to create images that will capture your story. Just fill in my contact form and let’s chat!
