Marabeth & Jared - Edinburgh Couples Photography

Back in November last year, while the last colourful leaves of Autumn were still barely clinging to the trees, I met Marabeth & Jared in Dean Village for a romantic couples session. This American couple has been married for a couple of years and they wanted to commemorate their adventure in Scotland with a photoshoot.

The skies were cloudy and grey that day which provided a beautiful mood and soft light for their photos. As a Scotland couples photographer, I often notice that my clients can be a little worried about the lack of sunshine in Scotland. Thankfully, I can assure you that cloudy (or even rainy) days are not worse than sunny days for photography - in fact they’re often better! The clouds act as a diffuser providing a soft light which is very flattering on everyone and as a bonus they add a gorgeous cinematic mood to your photos.
